For Bart, every painting begins with an image that gradually takes shape, while his photography is about capturing that one decisive moment. His work grows from what moves him — sometimes soft, sometimes raw — and finds form in color, line, and light. In his portraits, eyes play a central role: they carry stories that words often cannot hold.
He works with different materials and techniques, because each emotion asks for its own visual language. Vibrant colors, layered textures, and intuitive lines come together in compositions that balance vulnerability and strength.
Photography is a second way for Bart to capture the world. He is especially drawn to street photography: the unexpected, the fleeting, the moment in which something essential becomes visible for just a fraction of a second.
He also teaches at Stichting Ik Wil in Eindhoven, where he shares his experience and love for visual art with others.
His work moves between inner and outer worlds — between what he feels and what he sees. He invites the viewer to look along with him.
